policies

  • We provide coaching, counselling and family mediation as well as support services focused on emotional well-being, conflict resolution, and healthy relationship dynamics. These services are not a substitute for legal advice, legal representation, or mental health crisis intervention.

    • Dual relationships (e.g., personal and professional) are not permitted to preserve ethical practice.

    • Inappropriate or disrespectful communication will result in immediate termination of services at the sole discretion of the practitioner.

  • Payment is due prior to the beginning of a session. We accept payment through our online booking system.

A credit card is required to be kept securely on file for any outstanding balances or missed appointments. Your credit card information is stored securely via Stripe.

  • We do not offer direct billing, but we does provide an official electronic receipt.

You can discuss options to support possible reimbursement through extended benefits and/or legal aid.

  • If you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time to respect the next client’s appointment. Full session fees apply regardless of late arrival. Practitioners at their sole discretion may extend a session as they feel necessary; however; this is not guaranteed.

  • Regular attendance is crucial for effective support. If there are more than two missed appointments, we will have a discussion to explore any barriers that you might be facing in accessing support consistently, and do our best to address them.

If 24 hours notice has not been provided for a missed appointment, the cancellation policy will apply.

  • We understand that life can be unpredictable, but it is expected that 24 hours’ notice is required if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. 24 hours notices allows us to offer the time slot to other clients in need.

Appointments that are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged at the full rate and not reimbursed. Cancellation due to illness, special circumstances or emergencies may considered for exemption but is not guaranteed.

  • All information shared during sessions remains confidential unless:

    • Required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, child protection concerns, or court orders).

    • You provide written consent to share information with other professionals.

Confidentiality is also waved in the event of a complaint that is made or a review that is posted. Our professionals have the ability to respond in such cases.

    • Participation in legal proceedings (e.g., providing reports, attending court) is not part of standard coaching, counselling or mediation services and must be formally contracted in advance.

    • Subpoenas will be responded to within the limits of professional guidelines and applicable law.

  • Abusive language, threats, harassment, or any form of aggressive behavior directed toward the practitioner—whether verbal, written, or physical—will not be tolerated. Should such conduct occur, the practitioner reserves the right to immediately terminate the session and all future services at their sole discretion. In cases where this behavior arises during a scheduled session, the session will end immediately, and no refunds will be provided. This policy is in place to ensure a safe and respectful environment for both clients and professionals.

If a session is cancelled by a practitioner due to inappropriate or abusive communication or actions towards them more than 24 hours in advance of a prepaid session, the payment will be reimbursed.

If a session is cancelled by a practitioner due to inappropriate or abusive communication or actions towards them within less than 24 hours in advance of a session, there will be no reimbursement for the prepaid session.
